A hair painting and balayage specialist with over 20 years experience, Mercedez started her New York City career in 2003 at Bumble and bumble. There she had the opportunity to learn from some of the best global hair style icons. Mercedez grew to become an instructor at Bumble and bumble University and later went on to educate the color department at Cutler Salon. Mercedez continues to work as a senior colorist at Cutler returning monthly to their Soho, NY salon to service 20 years of loyal & dear clients and collaborate with the city’s best colorists.

Some of Mercedez career highlights include working with Kelly Osbourne, Peaches Geldof, Alana de le Garza, Bridget Moynahan as well as editors from French Glamour, Elle Magazine and Vogue. She further honed her craft while doing hair makeovers for major TV shows including America’s Next Top Model, The Chew, Rachael Ray and the lead actors for ABC show, Forever. 

Mercedez now brings her hair painting and balayage expertise to Oneonta, NY where she is proud to launch her own salon on Chestnut Street.

A Michigan native, Mercedez calls Oneonta home. She lives with her two children, two Great Danes, and retired FDNY husband.
